JOHN VALBY a.k.a. “DR. DIRTY” HEADLINES THE WILBUR THEATRE FRIDAY, AUGUST 13TH
Boston, MA – John Valby, a.k.a. “Dr. Dirty” is set to perform at The Wilbur Theatre on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:00pm.
The sixty-year-old musician has been making adults laugh since the seventies with his collection of song parodies, x-rated limericks and dirty jokes.
“Dr. Dirty” has been performing his racy songs at college campuses and universities all over the country. Since Valby started performing over twenty years ago, he has released thirteen albums such as “A Mid Summer Night’s Wet Dream,” “Dirt,” “Give Me Death” and “Your Face or Mine? – Live on Long Island”.
Years before acts like Andrew Dice Clay rhymed dirty words together, “Dr. Dirty” was writing whole songs of them. Valby studied piano, while attending high school at McQuaid Jesuit High in Rochester, New York. He then went to Middlebury College where he would write and compose music in his spare time. One night while performing some ragtime tunes at a local bar, he snuck three dirty songs into the set and the crowd went crazy for them. Soon they were coming every week and chanting “Sing More Dirt!” Today, fraternities all around the country enjoy Dr. Dirty’s “embarrassingly funny, disgustingly dirty lyrics!
